Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be providing legal support on a broad range of matters supporting the ASEAN region.
You will provide legal assistance by working with our ASEAN legal team, including by drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, providing advice on disputes, providing support on internal compliance and employment matters, providing corporate and commercial advice from privacy to competition, and providing regulatory risk identification and response.
You will also support compliance and ethics matters.
What skills will I need?
Ideally, has experience in advising on technology contracts or has experience that demonstrates capability to work in the technology space
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Employment law expertise, preferably from a regional perspective
Strong client relationship building skills, with exceptional written and verbal communication,
Can work autonomously and collaboratively with others and enjoys working in a team-based environment (we really are looking for a team player!)
Can process and communicate legal concepts and a complex business environment in simple, commercial and practical terms
Is adaptable and agile being able to multi-task and prioritise competing requirements (we are in tech - we thrive in being agile!)
Enjoys attention to details but not so it gets in the way in being solution and outcome focussed
Is open to trying new things because they love learning and applying something they have not done before.
Is an effective influencer, actively developing and contributing to plans and strategies, establishing an extremely high degree of personal credibility and trust, based on extensive business experience and knowledge of business issues.
Exhibits good business, technical and financial judgment, as well as an ability to integrate many independent and interdependent factors into an overall cohesive direction.
Is flexible in terms of work practices and workload considering new methods of working. Willing to work remotely, in the office or travel to undertake face-to-face negotiations, team with colleagues whether locally or internationally, and support transactions outside of the local country jurisdiction.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
7-10 years PQE with a significant portion of that at the legal department of a multinational company
Degree in Law from a recognised institution with a strong academic background
Experience handling matters in ASEAN (advantageous)
Technology background (advantageous)
