LCH Operations sits at the heart of the organisation, providing multifaceted services to internal and external customers across all asset classes. The division operates globally across several pillars of service, including Securities Operations, SwapClear and Listed Rates Operations, Onboarding Operations, Collateral Management, Client Services, Regulatory Reporting, and Market Data. We partner with internal and external customers to proactively deliver compelling, resilient, and competitive CCP Operations that minimise risks and maximise returns through flexible, timely and innovative engagement.
Role description
We are currently seeking a motivated and driven individual to join LCH Operations in the role of Associate, Onboarding Operations, located in Manila. Manila is a new location LCH is launching in 2024 to support our growing business, in addition to the existing locations of London, New York, Sydney and Singapore. All our offices work closely together as a one team. The Onboarding Operations team provides a central point of contact for members, clients and investment counterparties during the onboarding process and has ultimate responsibility for ensuring a positive first experience with LCH across the services we operate. You will work with our members, clients and investment counterparties on their journey through all elements of the onboarding process, from application through to successful launch, and then undertaking ongoing annual maintenance requirements. The successful candidate will be able to handle a high level of complexity in a client facing environment.
The role has specific responsibility for handling member and client onboarding for the following clearing services: EquityClear, ForexClear, RepoClear, SwapClear and SwapAgent.
key responsibilities:
Undertakes end-to-end onboarding processes for new members, clients and investment counterparties, with a focus on efficiency, control and excellent client services.
Ensures that all required documents are received and validated, accounts, reports and entitlements are set-up prior to the agreed member / client launch date.
Builds and manage relationships with business partners internally and externally with clear and concise communication of requirements, timelines, risks and issues.
Responds promptly and knowledgeably to queries from members, clients, investment counterparties, and internal business partners. Ensures Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded.
Helps to resolve operational issues in an accurate and timely manner, bringing to the attention of management where appropriate. This may require IT engagement to facilitate problem resolution.
Accurately captures static data into several core LCH systems, understanding the knock-on effects of data changes across different internal systems.
Performs call-backs to authorised third parties to validate bank account change requests or new instructions with counterparties, collaborating closely with Collateral Operations and other key business partners.
Performs ongoing maintenance of membership documentation, communications, including procedures in place with other internal teams and third parties (such as Exchanges).
Continually develops a strong understanding of the importance of data integrity and carry out all requests with a quality and control mind-set.
Supports testing across the various platforms Onboarding interacts with.
Performs System reconciliations and data error detection and resolution.
Processes changes in membership or client account types.
Maintains robust end-to-end checklists and procedures for all processes.
Prepares and checks reports for regulatory reporting.
essential experience and skills required:
Must Have Experience and Skills:
Degree educated;
Proven experience, preferably in financial services within onboarding and / or operational related roles;
Basic knowledge of central clearing or OTC derivatives helpful;
Good oral and written communication skills;
Methodical and detail orientated;
Highly organised;
Customer service focussed;
Able to use initiative and prioritise tasks;
Strong ability to learn and develop product knowledge;
Positive and collaborative across teams.
IT skills:
MS Office suite;
Knowledge of Salesforce an advantage;
Daily use of several internal systems required.
