We are looking for an Associate Manager to lead our local IT to support the local office and warehouse expansion. The role will be working and leading a team to support local IT needs, concerns and challenges. The role will be based in Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) and will be in a temporary hybrid work arrangement (work-from-home and onsite if needed).
Responsibilities:
People Management - Attract, develop, and retain talent to build and maintain strong, effective, and competent team. Structure the team in a way that is best suited to the business and technological challenges. Empower, delegate and encourage risk taking and challenge the norm. Foster an environment that encourages team work, with motivation and inspiration.
Technical Leadership - Lead the team to resolve technical challenges. Lead unit-level initiatives to build technical competency within the team. Promote innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.
Accountability - Accountable for meeting quality objectives following best Engineering values and practices. Leads continuous improvement via Root Cause Analysis, lessons learned and prevention processes.
Communications - Promote clarity and alignment with ongoing, effective communication (up, down, and laterally). Strive for open, effective and healthy working relationships with your counterparts both locally and overseas.
Business Value Creation - Ensure software delivery is aligned to meet not only the customer requirements, but also adds value to their business by ROI analysis.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Sciences / Software Engineering / Information Technology or its equivalent.
At least 10 years of working experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with 5 years as team leader / people management capacity.
Project management and project delivery skillsets.
Technical skillsets in computer networks and end-user hardware troubleshooting.
Negotiation skillsets with IT vendors.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English language.
Experienced in using Google cloud systems like GMail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Calendar.
Possessing finance and e-commerce business process knowledge will be added advantage.
Some travelling may be required within the Asia region.
Responsive and always contactable during working hours.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work effectively cross functionally, with teams and all levels of management.
Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand.
Meticulous, detail-oriented and hyper-organized.
Open, flexible and motivated to perform on a high level.
