Position Responsibilities
Deltek is looking for a QC tester to join our team. You will be part of a team responsible for testing software to ensure that it meets required specifications within established quality standards. You will develop and apply test cases and procedures for the ComputerEase product. You will be responsible for helping to deliver a top-quality product on-time to our end users.
As a member of the QC team, you will work with minimal supervision. This is a fast-paced environment within a dynamic organization. You will be responsible for communicating with various members of the development team and with our technical support and training team to help identify defects.
This position does require you to learn and understand business/accounting rules.
Qualifications
Required
6mos-2yrs of experience in software testing (mostly functional testing, but automated testing experience a plus)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Understanding of test case development: writing, executing, and reporting
Understanding of defect management (writing, reporting)
Knowledgeable in estimating, scheduling and distributing tasks
Desired
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with different testing types and approaches
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Understanding of different development methodologies
Task-oriented, results-driven, team-player, proactive
Analytical and technical thinking across multiple areas of responsibility.
Understanding of business/accounting rules
Experience in ERP is a plus
Knowledgeable in SQL is a plus
