Position Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Tests software to ensure that developed products meet requirement specifications and are within the established quality criteria and standards. Develops and applies test cases and procedures for the organization's products. Communicates with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues. Operates under close supervision. Scope of impact should be to improve cost, quality, and time-to-market for Software Testing within a functional area of a particular product. Usually reports to the Quality Control Manager. This is an entry-level position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs moderately complex testing tasks according to company's QC processes.
· Performs moderately complex functional, integration, regression and performance tests.
· Designs and develops quality testing procedures; updates and modifies existing tests as necessary.
· Defines test objectives and writes test cases.
· Plans, schedules and implements testing projects.
2. Plans and implements automated testing.
3. Plans and implements mobile testing.
4. Assists product developers and technical product support specialists in solution of moderately complex installation problems
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or business.
Quality Control (to include functional, mobile & automation testing): At least 6 months' work experience in the same practice and/or industry; Industry: 0-3 years
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
Basic test process knowledge;
Understanding & Analysis of Functional Specifications;
Understanding of Test Case Development (writing, executing, reporting);
Understanding of Defect Management (writing, reporting);
Mobile testing;
Database management;
Mathematics, Logic & Computing;
Ability to comprehend, analyze and execute project processes;
Trainable, task-oriented, results-driven, team-player, proactive.
