About the Assistant Vice President - IT Business Support Role:
In this role, the Assistant Vice President - IT Business Support will evaluate, recommend, acquire, and adopt new and emerging solutions and tools to support the overall digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver enhancements or improvements to existing applications or systems following established governance on change management, business prioritisation and L1-L3 work model criteria
Introduce and implement business productivity tools and process automation in order to achieve performance metrics on efficiency and effectiveness of business standards, processes and procedures
Ensure that enterprise data services will provide the platform, development, and support for company-wide data analytics initiatives or implementations
Liaise with digital solutions teams on the handover of the new system implementations including training and onboarding required for L3 teams to effectively support the business. Establish standards and processes for the deployment and implementation of fix patches to ensure system version change management is always adhered to
Handle planning, execution and delivery of IT-related projects outside the portfolio of KPI projects
Resource management responsibilities including administration of team members, preparation of job descriptions, hiring, setting of performance objectives, conduct of performance appraisals, and administration of salary reviews
The successful Assistant Vice President - IT Business Support will be working with different IT groups to ensure applications are well-maintained and enhanced based on the needs of the organisation.
Key Requirements:
At least 10 years of relevant IT experience with strong exposure to portfolio management, business transformation and project management (Agile and Waterfall)
Certifications such as PMP, Prince 2, and agile certifications are highly preferred
Technical knowledge in SDLC, Agile project management, systems design and concepts, system infrastructure architecture and systems integration is a must
Must have a strong stakeholder, people and vendor management experience
Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills and ability to develop programmes and deliver them within financial and resource constraints
