The Finance Reporting Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for accomplishing results through regulatory analysis and reporting in coordination with the Finance team. Additionally, the Finance Reporting Senior Analyst develops reporting and control procedures to accurately prepare information required for financial reporting and analysis. The overall objective of this role is to ensure business/department financials are prepared and delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
Review intercompany matching variances in non-derivative balance sheet and income statement accounts
Investigate month end intercompany breaks and propose remediations to Finance and Financial Close Teams
Drive the remediation of intercompany GL balance and contract level break which are critical to Citi's ability to meet regulatory reporting requirements.
Recommend controls, changes in booking practices and process improvements for intercompany activities
Drive transformation agenda including process improvement and automation
Lead a team of professionals and manage complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas
Communicate with peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations
Provide advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes, and firm or business unit strategy
Deliver a full range of services to one or more businesses or geographic regions
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within Finance and how they interact in order to achieve the goals of the Finance department
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
5+ years of related experience
Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
Ability to work with multiple functions
Proven problem-solving skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
