Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists the Tax and Compliance Manager in handling the Taxes and Compliance Team. Also, he/she helps in establishing and implementing Taxes and Compliance Guidelines
Ensures the team complies with company policies and procedures
Reviews existing Taxes and Compliance and related processes and suggests improvements
Ensures timely compliance to BIR, LGU, SEC and other concerned government agencies' requirements
Ensures correctness of taxes withheld and remitted
Ensures taxes and licenses are filed and paid on time
Provides schedules/documents to external and government auditors in coordination with the Controller and the Finance Director
Maintains a database of all taxes filed and paid by the Group
Leads preparation schedules for monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns
Provides the supporting schedules for annual audits
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related field
At least 3 years' relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting or similar field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
Strong organization and project management skills
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and relevant software
