Job Description:
Assistant Manager, Financial Planning
Responsible for assisting in the development of the budget and forecast of the Store Business Unit (SBU), consolidate financial reports submitted by the branches. The role will also provide detailed financial analysis and commentaries.
Consolidate the OPEX assumptions and targets from the branches. Review for completeness
Analyze trends based on prior years' performance and use that understanding to validate the soundness of the OPEX budget
Consolidate the financial reports from the branches, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness
Review the income statement monthly against the Plan, Forecast, and Prior Years to understand how the business is doing in relation to the expected performance
Conduct branch visits to discuss performance and collaborate with Branch Accounting on ways to reduce controllable expenses
Collaborate with the other team members and Branch Accounting to identify and execute process improvement, simplification, and automation opportunities
Key Qualifications:
Must be a Certified Public Accountant
At least five (5) years of work experience in Financial Planning and Reporting
Strong analytical skills, good leadership and stakeholder management
Willing to be assigned in SM Retail Headquarters - Pasay
