Responsibilities include the management,introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes to interestedparties. Responsibilities: Monitor corporate asset accounts and verify that productive equipment that remains useful despitereaching zero-book values. Verify the de-commissioned equipment are past zero book valuation or are certified by authorizedtechnicians as uneconomical to repair before scheduling for disposal. Maintain business partnerships with accredited 3rd party buyers of assets for disposal - negotiatingwith specialist suppliers and/or subcontractors. Arrange and schedule bidding of surplus supplies and equipment as required which includesassembling, appraising, assembling, and advertise goods, which subsequently sell to the highestbidder during an auction. Also, work with local scrap and/or auction companies to process thematerial out of facilities or vendor sites. Document and journalize all disposed assets. Receive and process authorization for unsold merchandise items of discount bulk disposal. Coordinate asset identification, includes acquisition of asset numbers and asset tags. Training all facilities admin officers in regards to identifying assets and marking them properly. Perform asset inventories within the warehouse. Create an asset database for accuracy, integrity and visibility. Liaison to the Finance team for timely reporting, Work in Progress reporting, including regularlyscheduled audits of inventory within all facilities. Assists Warehouse staff with asset data entry for the new assets received. Define processes, workflows, and feature requirements to continually improve custom-developed inventory management tools. Utilizes collection systems and documents all collection efforts. Prepare monthly asset disposal reports to higher management Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management or any other related course. Must have at least 5 years work experience in inventory, accounting, management, disposal and liquidation of assets, preferably from the logistics, retail, FMCG and IT industries. Has people management skills Computer literate with spreadsheets, basic word processing is and a working familiarity with automated accounting systems Has clear understanding of loss prevention and delinquency management Demonstrates previous exposure to contracts and has an understanding of basic contract language. Knowledgeable in the bid process Has experience in securing large contracts Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Interpersonal skills to interact with corporate executives at all levels and with clients Must exhibit strong time management and people management skills.
