The opportunity Independence is a concept fundamental to the audit profession and is pervasive in all dealings between EY member practices and their audit and assurance clients. Maintaining EY's independence means that EY member practices and EY personnel should be and should appear to be free from interests that might be regarded as being incompatible with objectivity, integrity, and impartiality. The successful candidate will be responsible to support and coordinate various Independence processes across the area. The candidate will be expected to develop good understanding of process and related Independence policies required to handle queries and meet expectations of various internal stakeholders. This is an individual contributor role and the candidate will report to area leadership. Your key responsibilities Co-ordinate with Asia Pac regions on various Independence processes Work closely with region or area leaders on implementation of new processes or controls Analyse data and report findings to leadership Liase with other areas as well as Global teams on implementation or streamlining of processes Identify issues/violations and report to leadership Create dashboards and leadership presentations Work on process deadlines throughout the year and ensure timely closure Consult with Independence leaders to assist with decision making Create a network with all Independence teams across the area Work closely with other functions like Asia Pac Risk Management team and Talent for area wide communications and the related Host/organize leadership meetings or events Skills and attributes for success Exceptional and proven customer service skills, including responsiveness and commitment to quality. Ability to listen to, and accurately capture, others' ideas, expectations, and concerns should be clear and concise when responding to questions Highly developed project management, verbal communication, business writing and presentation skills A strong and highly motivated work ethic, with ability to perform well even when under pressure proven ability to successfully complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent team attitude, inter-personal and leadership skills Good awareness of overall business and economic environment at a country-level and at a global level.
