Assists with design and construction document preparation. Revises drawings and provides design solutions for project elements. Conducts research for the project team. Produces graphic presentations. Performs calculations and basic analytical tasks. Represents the project or practice as the primary contact for client interaction.
Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations. Ensures work meets clients' requirements, is timely and completed within budget. Manages the work of architecture and interior design staff that complete design or production work, and construction documents. Provides technical guidance to junior staff.
Qualifications
Preferably Bachelor's degree in architecture from accredited program is required. A minimum of 8 years of experience. 5+ years of Architecture experience working on Mission Critical projects preferred. Prefer previous experience in healthcare, aerospace, military, airport, and institutional facility-related experience. Ability to work across disciplines of Architecture, Structural, and MEP.
Licensed as a registered architect in the state in which the office is located. Must have ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications. Expert software and computer skills required including AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, and Microsoft Professional Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills are required. Strong Revit skills throughout all phases of DD, CD and Master Planning, Construction. Strong knowledge of 3D modeling software including Sketch-Up and Rhino. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to translate sketches into 3D drawings. Strong design and presentation skills. Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
Maintains effective communication with project team members. Proficiency in Revit 3D modeling, 4 years minimum experience. AutoCad design experience. Experience with Sketch up, Adobe Suite, InDesign, and Navisworks. Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas. Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams. Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ideally, you'll also have: Experience with building codes and specifications. Experience with semiconductor or general industrial facilities. LEED accredited.
