Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks a Application Engineer to join its industry leading sales and service team. You'll partner with Sales Representatives on executing service plans in strategic district accounts and providing customers with problem solving support. You'll also assist District Sales Representatives with launching new applications in current customer accounts and in transitioning competitively-held accounts to Nalco Water. This position requires you to install, maintain and calibrate chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment.

What You Will Do:
Responsible for surveying customer's facility and provide technical support in the optimization of water treatment solutions, maintaining a periodic service/routine analysis at customer site as part of Nalco's customer assistance to ensure that the products delivered are properly handled and used at proper time at optimum dosage and applies immediate corrective action if necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
5+ years of service, and business administration experience
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
Working knowledge of
boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems
OR
paper machine operations, wet end chemistry, pulp mill operations
operations, wet end chemistry, pulp mill operations
Experience working with and knowledge of computers (e.g., MS Office suite)
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Excellent organization and follow-up skills
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with little direction
Ability to succeed in a competitive environment
Driver's license
