Job Responsibilities:
● Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance including Philippine BIR and local government unit (LGU) tax filings, and other statutory requirements (e.g., treaty tax benefit applications, withholding tax compliance oversight, support for global CbCR reporting, etc.)
● Ensure compliance with terms and conditions imposed by government agencies for existing fiscal incentives (e.g., BOI, PEZA registration)
● Information gathering and working with local advisors in Singapore; review tax returns prepared by external advisors in India and other jurisdictions in Asia
● Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations for statutory and consolidated financial reporting
● Responsible for preparation of supporting documents for relevant tax authorities including support for the transfer pricing documentation process
● Monitor and proactively manage the implementation of legislative changes in the region
● Where appropriate, coordinate with finance staff, external service providers and/or government agency representatives
● Perform other duties for tax projects as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
● Strong and well-developed understanding of compliance for government incentives (e.g., BOI, PEZA, and LGU)
● Relevant professional experience working in a taxation role in a multinational corporation or large professional accounting firm
● A university degree with a focus on accounting, finance and/or tax law
● Professional designation such as CPA or equivalent
