Job Purpose:
The candidate will be part of a newly established team working on evolving operational risk tools and techniques and driving strategic change
Responsibility for proactively managing multiple complex projects to improve operational risk and compliance risk management practices
Design reporting and analytical techniques for varying requirements e.g. operational risk information by material legal vehicles, statistical analyses, etc.
Provide proactive contributions to ensure Operational Risk Systems are embedded using best-in-class approach.
Hold training sessions to respond to user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to Firm-wide Strategic Projects:
Propose enhancements in operational risk management tools and techniques following strategic directions set by Senior Management
Develop techniques to make the operational risk assessment process more efficient
Contribute to the development, enhancement and oversight of the key tools in self-assessment systems:
Developing business requirements for system enhancements
Participate in working groups with In-Business Architects and their nominees to collect user feedback and proposed system functionality improvements
Leadership role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
User training on new and existing system functionality and the Self-Assessment Programme
Enhance Data Analysis
Development of analytical techniques to identify patterns in operational risk data
Design reporting outputs which summarize and present analysis in concise, thought-provoking and action driven manner
Development Value:
The successful candidate will be part of a new team working on multiple firm-wide strategic initiatives in an evolving space. The role offers exposure to senior management and entails engagement with all businesses/functions/regions across Citi.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
Experience of working in a dynamic project based environment with variable stakeholders and tight deadlines.
Analytical skills including data mining, statistical analysis, etc.
Confident and concise verbal communications skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with senior members of staff
Relevant experience in risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and remediation will be an additional strength
Qualifications:
University education preferred, although exceptional candidates who do not meet this criterion may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience and an outstanding professional track record

Strong analytical skills; both quantitative and qualitative
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize
Ability to analyze problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations
Outstanding attention to detail
Strong MS office knowledge including Excel, Word and Power Point.

Ability to speak confidently and authoritatively on a range of subjects and influence opinion
The successful candidate will need to show that he/she is unafraid to interact with counterparts and seniors in an environment with high exposure and expectations.
