The affiliate marketing specialist assists in the development of partnerships between vendors, referrals, and affiliates. Your tasks and responsibilities as an affiliate marketing professional are to develop new programs and campaigns targeted at acquiring new affiliates or to carry out campaigns for existing clients.
In this role, you will do ongoing research in order to engage with and attract relevant affiliates. You will establish and nurture partnerships proactively, continually maximizing current partners and thinking on how to stay competitive. You will also be able to transform performance data into useful insights by gathering metrics from our affiliate (internally referred to as 'partner program') programs.

Job Responsibilities
Develop client acquisition methods, strategies and plan through affiliate and partner channels proactively.
Extract, analyze, and improve affiliate program metrics, activities, marketing materials, enablement programs, and data.
Advise clients on the best affiliate marketing platforms and tools to use.
Key vendor evaluation, selection, implementation, and management (affiliate operators and/or agencies).
Create and optimize content for the Strategic Sales team.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to generate Partner Enablement marketed materials and campaigns.
Create and maintain critical connections with top affiliate partners.
Optimize purchases, renegotiate prices, cancel or renew partnerships/ad buys as needed, and update and optimize creative units and media placements.
Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
A bachelor's degree in any field is required.
At least two years (preferably more) of experience on an affiliate marketing team, managing an affiliate program, or working for an affiliate network is required.
English communication abilities, both written and verbal, must be excellent.
Prior experience effectively scaling an affiliate program is preferred.
Knowledge in the following digital marketing disciplines is required: content marketing, SEO, social media marketing, and online advertising.
Strong, analytical, and data-driven background, with direct expertise in marketing analytics and digital performance marketing.
Capability to assess all aspects of a current affiliate program and make meaningful recommendations for improvement.
Ability to build up and optimize a new affiliate program for clients who do not already have one.
The ability to "think on your feet" and devise inventive yet realistic solutions to both foreseen and unexpected challenges.
