Job Description
The Solution Architect for Commerce solutions is a senior industry expert in eCommerce solutioning, with documented experience working with the Adobe Magento solution in particular.
The Solution Architect primarily engage with Sales Executives to evaluate and document customer requirements, craft solutions and create POC presentations.
The Solution Architect also engage with delivery teams during project execution, ensuring proposed solution is delivered as architected
The Solution Architect acts as the subject matter expert in eCommerce solutions, and represent Retail Associates in forums, events, peer meetings and industry gathering as such.
The Solution Architect should be able to express him/herself in clearly in writing and oral communication is flawless business English.
Solution Architecture
Participate as Architect and Subject Matter Expert in sales cycles with customers
Execute requirements analysis with prospective customers
Build high-quality, impactful customer presentations and POCs with the objective of creating buy-in for solution adoption
Articulates the architectural vision to clients, sponsors and stakeholders
Create solution architecture documentation and services estimate breakdown for purpose of proposals. Such architecture should include details of integrations and interfaces
· Actively search for marketplace solutions, add-on products and partners in the industry to ensure proposed solutions meet all requirements
Project Execution
Turn over each project to the delivery team
Source services delivery providers suitable for each project in case augmentation/outsourcing required
Present detailed customer requirements, solution architecture for the purpose of generating detailed and accurate services estimates from sub-contractors
Evaluate and decide on suitable delivery partners
Plan and execute project kick-off with customer
Participate in initial solution discovery phase to ensure integrity of scope
Verifies and validates development process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and methodology
Participate in key project meetings to ensure delivery quality
Business Development
Maintain expert knowledge on the Adobe Commerce platform through continuous learning
Interact with industry peers and partners in order to expand the solution scope, integrating partner solutions into the offering of Retail Associates
Interact and coordinate with the various teams at Adobe and other principals to ensure clear understanding of product roadmaps, direction and impact to Retail Associates
Ensures clear understanding of local compliance requirements, rules and regulations impacting the solution offerings of Retail Associates
Participates in industry gatherings, events and groups as a representative of Retail Associates
Required Experience:
Graduate of anybachelor's degree or master's degree in a business-related course. This includes courses in accounting, marketing, economics, communications, computer science, information systems and mathematics.
Overall 10+ years of IT industry experience, including exposure to eCommerce
3+ years managing technical and/or business teams in customer-facing function
Experience as architect for at least 3+ Magento Implementations
5+ years of experience with Magento development
5+ years of experience with PHP development
5+ years of experience with Mysql,
Experience with web services (SOAP, RESTful, GraphQL)
Experience with Version Control Systems like GIT
Expert knowledge of Composer
Documented experience with App development for Android and IOS.
Desired Experience:
Have experience integrating Magento with other applications/tools
Familiarity with other ecommerce platforms
Have great design and problem-solving skills, passion for quality and engineering excellence at scale
Experience building and designing large-scale server applications in a distributed environment
Excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills
Experience in preparing and reviewing technical specification documents.
Be able to lead integration with third party like payment gateways, analytical tools, marketing agencies Languages
Experience in documenting business processes and wireframing system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc
Have strong presentation skills; skilled and effective at presenting to both technical and business audiences
Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure etc
Excellent database design and implementation skills
Experience with PWA App development
