Job Description Assistant Manager, Actuarial Financials is responsible for handling local reporting for group, pre-need, and the company's acquired blocks of business, together with trust fund management for the company's pre-need business, as well as conduct reinsurance administration for some reinsurance treaties maintained by the company. In addition, he/she will also be supporting adhoc requests related to the company's IFRS17 initiative, and Distribution Promos Costing among others. Reporting to one the Valuation leads, he/she will work closely with internal parties such as Finance, Investments, Marketing, and Regional, as well as external counterparts such as reinsures, auditors, and the Insurance Commission. Local Reporting Handle monthly local valuation reporting for the pre-need business, group business, and several acquired blocks of businesses by the company Perform Trust Fund management for the pre-need business Liaise and provide support on key annual deliverables such as audit and annual statement submissions to the Insurance Commission Reinsurance Perform reinsurance administration tasks for several reinsurers Provide administration support for new reinsurance arrangements Ad Hoc Provide support in conducting IFRS17 policy investigations Provide pricing support for promo costing initiatives by the company for its various distribution channels Accountabilities (Shared with Valuation Lead) Managing internal deadlines to meet regulatory requirements for financial reporting. Timely administration of reinsurance treaties. This includes timely submission of statements of account, settlements, and reporting as stipulated in the treaties. Meeting TAT for Promo Costing requests. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education: Graduate of bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics Associate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines/Society of Actuaries Strong analytical, communication, relationship, and time management skills Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and strong work ethic Proficient in Microsoft Office and AXIS Actuarial Software (preferably) If you are ready to unleash your potential, it's time to start your career with Manulife/John Hancock.
