JOB DETAILS
Responsible for raising purchase order, receipt for overheads, follow up outstanding approvals, and ensuring the integrity of payables data between different ordering and accounting systems. Setting up vendors in purchase ordering system, and ensuring compliance with processes and controls across the payables function. Responsible for project billing.
The responsibilities, although not limited to, will include:
• Raising purchase orders for overheads that fall outside system processes.
• Receipting of goods and services where necessary, and chasing approvals for receipting.
• Ensuring payables email inboxes are managed timely.
• Answering and investigating supplier queries from source to completion, for suppliers and internal staff.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Assisting the Assistant Accountant with anything payables related.
• Ensure all invoicing on projects is generated timely in accordance with rates, terms and conditions
• Assist with debtors reporting and ensure receivables are collected in a timely manner
• Ad-hoc queries as and when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and procedures within finance;
• Comply with Vertech's HSEQ and HR Policies and Proc, systems and procedures in finance;
• Ad-hoc duties as required, and support the Group Finance Manager as required;
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have an accounting degree.
• At least 3 years payables and/or general accounts experience for an AU, UK or US campaigns
• Must have excellent written and spoken English, and be adept at working as part of a team
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
• Work accurately with high attention to details
Highly organised with ability to multitask and work to deadlines
• Ability to synthesise large amounts of data from a variety of sources
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with positive outlook
Work Location / Working shifts: Perth / AU Business hours ; Hybrid work set up ; PH Holiday Observance : Hybrid 2x a week onsite attendance.
