Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day processing and entering of supplier invoices, including purchasing card transactions. They will be coordinating among multiple departments and suppliers to ensure appropriate workflows were followed before an invoice is processed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Review supplier invoices to ensure compliance to company policy and procedures, including the appropriate approval
Create timely invoice entries and verify the appropriate system coding (project ID, department allocation, etc.)
Validate and reconcile purchasing card transactions to create invoice entries
Reconcile vendor account statements and resolve invoice issues as necessary
Reconcile AP subledger to general ledger at month end
Update vendor master record in system as necessary
Prepare general ledger journal entries to accrue expenses for unposted invoices, and amortize prepayments
Respond to internal and vendor queries as necessary
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, permanent
WORKING SCHEDULE: 10 PM to 7 AM Manila Time (Night Shift)
WORK LOCATION: Full-time work from home (until further notice). Office address is at BGC, Taguig City
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 1-2 years of accounts payable experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge
Basic knowledge of general accounting principles
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sorting large data sets, and basic formula usage)
Proficient with standard office applications i.e. Word, Outlook, etc.
Experience with ERP systems or accounting software
Skills
Proactive with an attention to detail and accuracy, and organizational skills
Able to track multiple requests simultaneously to ensure timeliness
Effective communicator with good oral and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills to manage a high volume of interactions with team members
