Responsibilities:
Prepare and record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Review and verify the accuracy of invoices, bills, and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including adjusting journal entries and reconciliations.
Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements, customer accounts, and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain and update accounting records, files, and documentation, ensuring proper documentation and archiving of financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Support the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax, payroll tax, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement and operations, to ensure proper coding and recording of financial transactions.
Stay updated with accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a corporate setting.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile complex accounts and identify discrepancies.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
