The Job
As Accounting Specialist, you will be obtaining and maintaining a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. Assist in implementing and improving company policies and procedures. Assist in implementing management points and audit findings from internal and external auditors.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in training new staff on the current accounting and finance processes and system
Acting as a negotiator, dealing with the employees of each level of the company..
Assists in smooth running, management, and performance of the team and organization
Setting an example for team members of commitment, financial activities, work ethics, habits, and personal character.
Contributing to the training and development of the team
Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of books.
Performing administrative tasks and corresponding with customers. Assist in/supervise the preparation of journals, and account reconciliations, especially bank and inventory reconciliation
Preparing/Reviewing all tax returns and supervising the timely and accurate payment
Assisting in/preparing retirement accrual and income tax return computation
Reviews/prepares BIR and KPMG audit requirements and Can handle BIR and BOC audits
Overseeing local and foreign payable and receivable transactions and making sure that payment/collection is done on a timely basis.
Assisting in ISO audits
Assisting in the preparation of management internal reports for accounting and finance (financial reports, forecasts for future business growth)
Assisting the finance manager to manage the cash flow and supervise financial transactions within the company to ensure there are no discrepancies in reports.
Assisting in implementing AR Purchase transactions
The Profile
Skills required:
You have Five to seven years of prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting, general ledger, and taxation of a multinational Company.
You have Experienced working in an auditing firm and a trading Company is preferred.
You Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast pace setting.
You are Experienced with SAP ERP 6.0 or another largely automated accounting system
You have Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
