ACCOUNTING OFFICER IN CHARGE (CPA)
 
Job Description:
Reviews financial statements of subsidiaries and affiliated companies and verifies data entries in FS per account tiles and its schedules every other week in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles including trial balance, general ledger, and bank reconciliations to check the accuracy and reasonableness of entries and correctness of reports for management to gain right information as basis for decisions and comply with government requirements
Examines and analyze accounting records and other financial reports by checking the accuracy of accounting entries per date per time of accountable forms and reconciling accounts twice a month using personal computer to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards in order to avoid wrong interpretations of financial statements and incur bad decisions.
Supervises accounting personnel by identifying and assigning job scope and responsibilities, monitoring works, and explain work details on a regular basis (at least three times per week) in order to efficiently control works and outputs to avoid re-work or waste of time, effort, money, materials.
Audits accounting staff by examining payment receipts and government reports every month using checklists to ensure requirements of BIR, SEC, SSS, HDMF, PHIC, and LGUs) are complied to avoid penalties.
Explains the financial statements by interpreting and discussing details for management and stakeholder every week to understand the current financial status and make right decisions to invest, allocate funds, establish management controls or improve financial condition.
Reviews existing procedures and forms by examining its effectiveness of use as the need arises using continuous improvement tools and techniques to improve the quality of processes and work efficiency as well as to avoid unnecessary errors to recur
Develops, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
Prepares management reports by examining the facts or results for accuracy, completeness and suitability every month to provide management right information for decision making and right resolutions.
Approves vouchers, purchase requisitions and purchase orders on a daily basis by examining the documents and exercising vested authority to avoid unnecessary interruption of business operations.
Reviews sales transaction reports (export) by checking the data and formulae used on a daily basis to determine its accuracy and completeness to avoid financial losses.
Searches and understand new government memoranda, guidelines, rulings and laws by surfing government websites and bulletins (BIR, DTI, SEC, etc) to be updated and comply new requirements to avoid penalties.
Evaluates financial conditions of companies planned to buy out or acquire by performing compliance check to identify business opportunities, risks and potential profitability to avoid loss of capital investment.
Advises management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Coordinates with other departments and conduct meetings on a regular basis to discuss business matters affecting department functions to have coordinated efforts to achieve work objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least three (3) years supervisorial experience (Accounting Manager or Finance Manager)
Knowledgeable in accounting softwares
Certified Public Accountant
