CARGO LOADING/UNLOADING SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensure the safe and efficient transfer of the cargoes.
Responsible for transferring, or supervising the transfer of, cargo to and from land, and water transport means by manual and mechanical methods.
Plan and organize loading schedules.
Check incoming shipments to match order information with items received, and inform the supervisor of any discrepancies.
Check each cargo to ensure conformity to standards.
Transport checked and secured cargos to assigned storage areas, and ensure that they are properly stacked.
Assist warehouse workers in picking cargoes from storage areas and give them location assistance.
Check all picked cargos to ensure that they bear the right information and box numbers.
Supervise crews in Lifting and carrying items to awaiting delivery trucks, ensuring that they are properly and safely loaded onto the vehicles, and secured.
Ensure that all paperwork is updated, and information regarding outgoing and incoming shipments is punched into the database.
Check and monitor drivers Liquidation and cash requisition .
QUALIFICATION
Graduate of any 4 year course
At least 1 year experience in same field
Previous leadership experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Eye for detail and accuracy.
Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Proactive organizational skills.
Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
