Position Overview
The Accounting Close team ensures all transactions are correctly accounted for and provides a golden source financial information data set upon which all internal and external reporting is based. Your role involves performing contract valuation and posting related to leases on real estate, IT hardware and cars including MRP Reporting up to the preparation of Head Office Disclosure submissions. You will perform and assist in both the preparation and review of disclosures as well as review the work of the senior analyst in compliance with the new and effective process for IFRS 16 KOP/SOP. Our team of experts will be there to support your development to ensure you excel in this function. Your role will help hone your stakeholder management skills as you will have the opportunity to closely interact with Front and Middle Office, Country Finance teams, Operations and other support functions.
Your key responsibilities
Accountable for ensuring that reviews had been made for the IFRS 16 balances on a monthly basis and that KOP/SOPs are being followed.
Perform finance and accounting process functions but not limited to i.e. analytical review, reconciliation, MRP substantiation, financial commentary and reporting process in adherence to Global Accounting policy
Collaborate with stakeholders and other teams for efficient execution of end-to-end operations
Performs sense checks and self- review of process outputs to detect irregularities, error or variances
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, or its Business-related equivalents with Accounting courses
Proven experience in quality assurance from auditing firm, bank shared service, BPO or finance role in related industry
Proven experience in stakeholder management and project management with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems is an advantage
