Position Overview
The Accounting Close team ensures all transactions are correctly accounted for and provides a golden source financial information data set upon which all internal and external reporting is based. Your role involves oversight and first level escalation point of contact of the Bank's production processes that include Head Office Reporting, Local Regulatory Reporting, Statutory Accounts Reporting, Management Accounts Reporting and Risk Reporting among others. You will responsible for the oversight and the escalation point for specific reporting processes in these teams. Your role will allow you to further strengthen your leadership and stakeholder manager skills given the diverse culture you will experience within the local and global teams.

Your key responsibilities
This role is responsible in ensuring a complete, accurate, and timely submission of financial reports (including disclosures) for APAC Axiom and Ukraine Entities which encompasses at least the following:
Maintaining updated financial reports by loading data from SAP business warehouse to the financial reporting application BCS GGLCAR
Investigation and cleansing of the local regulatory reporting requirements
Investigation and clearing of exceptions in all GAAPs (IFRS/HGB/BASTA)
Ensuring completeness of data including IFRS9 impairment related transactions
Journal and disclosure preparation
Ensuring proper controls are carried out and providing substantive evidence
Balance Sheet Substantiation
Report preparations within SLA - Wealth Management, IFRS and local regulatory reporting
Making processes more efficient by eliminating manual steps (through automation, re-sequencing, simplification) and effectively linking impact of changes to upstream/downstream processes and outputs
Collaborating with offshore and onshore business partners to ensure reporting requirements are delivered
Regular assessment of control checks and strategies to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all applicable reporting controls.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or its Business-related equivalents with accounting courses
Knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting functions
Experience with an auditing firm bank, shared service, business process outsourcing or in a finance role in related industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Knowledge of SAP, Essbase, Cognos, Ariba and other ERP systems is an advantage
Experience working in a global industry is a plus.
