About the job
As an Accounting Assistant, you will contribute to duties relating to the day-to-day operation of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as well as month end. The successful applicant will support the Financial Controller in fulfilling the duties of the Finance function.
What you'll do
Accounts Receivable
Daily importing to accounting software invoices raised\
Support sales team with any invoice changes
Send out customer statements
Send daily report to sales team
Allocate customer receipts in accounting software as required
End of Month reconciliation between aXcelerate and accounting software
End of Month reporting
Accounts Payable
Provide support for invoices entered in Dext to check accuracy
End of Month supplier reconciliations
Assist with credit card reconciliation
Update subcontractors spreadsheet with new recruits
Assist with Daily bank and credit card reconciliations, as required
Month-end
Assist with Financial reporting
Balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
Assist with Funding reconciliations
Assist with supplier and customer applications
Ad-hoc projects within finance for process improvements, audit, and compliance
What you'll bring
2-4 years of experience as a general accounting assistant
Excellent English communication skills
Must have experience in MYOB, Xero or other similar accounting softwares
Proficiency in MS Office
High analytical and attention to detail capabilities
Commercial acumen with an eagerness to learn
