I. JOB SUMMARY
Accounting assistants support the accounting department with their day-to-day functions by performing entry-level accounting duties. The primary work focus for accounting assistants is on accounts receivable and accounts payable. In addition, they help with collections, billing, audits, and journal entries. Most accounting assistants work in either private accounting offices or for larger accounting firms across a wide variety of sectors.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking for diligent Accounting Assistant, for process and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices, departmental billings, employee reimbursements, cash receipts, vendor statements, and journal vouchers, review and code financial information, prepare and process documents to disburse funds, make deposits and prepare reports, compile and review information for accuracy, and maintain records. Work is performed by applying knowledge of accounting terminology and using spreadsheets and/or automated accounting systems.
III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist and process payments and documents such as invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements, and statements.
· Posts financial data to appropriate accounts in an automated accounting system, according to instructions.
· Maintain exact financial records noting employer's incoming and outgoing finances.
· Reconciles transactions, financial data, and other information to an automated accounting system.
· Monitor accounts payable, following up on outstanding balances when required.
· Carry out administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, composing correspondence, and recording minutes at meetings.
· Assist with preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports.
· Maintain all confidentiality and statistical statements & reports.
