Job Description
Position Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the provision of data entry and reconciliation functions of Columbus Capital
Principal Accountabilities:
Journal processing for trust entities and corporate transactions
Balance sheet reconciliation and accounting for various subsidiary entities
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable - recording invoices, loading payments, managing enquiries
Bank account and fee income reconciliations
Ad-hoc tasks to support the finance function
Action other tasks or duties due to business exigencies or as deemed necessary by Management to achieve business goals
Critical Challenges:
Providing timely data entry
Delivery of a high degree of accuracy
Working with tight deadlines
Assist management with ad-hoc tasks
Liaise with management located in Sydney
Contacts:
This position will require interaction with all team members at all levels. Integral interactions will be with other members of the Philippine Branch Office admin team.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any Accounting related degree
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
A minimum of three (3) years relevant accounting experience
Familiarity with PFRS
Understanding of end-to-end process of accounting
Desired competencies:
Experience with with Microsoft Business Central - Wiise Accounting software
Critical competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Time management and multi-tasking skills - able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Strong team player
Self-starter - able to work without direct supervision
Strong organizational abilities
Excellent work ethic
