The applicant is expected to have substantial experience in public accounting practice, both audit and tax. Knowledge of PAS 220 and PSQM 1/2 as well as PFRS for Large, Medium-size and Small Entities is a requirement for purposes of conducting audits and financial statements' certification. Mastery, if not, a firm grasp of current tax laws and pronouncements, EOPT, CREATE, TRAIN is indispensable. Off-season, the job will involve working on clients' specific accounting and bookkeeping needs as well as on BIR, SEC and Local Government reportorial requirements. Bookkeeping will be through Sage (Peachtree) accounting software while BIR and SEC compliances are continuously fine-tuned with the agencies' latest issuances. Some clients require site visits. Daily interface with clients is a must. Related engagements covered by the Tax Code such as estate settlements, transfer of titles and shares of stock as well as conveyance of properties will likewise be worked on.
An accredited CPA, with five to ten year experience in public accounting practice is preferred. Someone who can trouble-shoot as well as mentor will suit the position. Salary and commisions will depend on experience and capacity to work. The applicant is prodded to solicit and pass on clients to the firm wherein commissions will be given for clients attributable to applicant's own efforts and connections.
To be successful on this job, one has to be:
Higly-experienced in public accounting practice, both audit and tax, and trained in PAS 220, PSQM 1 & 2.
Up to date with current tax laws, ie, EOPT, CREATE, TRAIN, etc..
Proficient with Microsoft Office specially Excel and Word;
Familiar with Accounting Software, preferably Sage (Peachtree);
Physically-fit, mobile and willing to take out-of-town engagements;
Positive, always a team player with willingness to work out of comfort zone;
Respectful, Efficient and can work with Minimal Supervision;
Trustworthy and Reliable;
Decent in Communication Skills and Respectful; and
Well-organized and Detail-Oriented
