ACCOUNTANT
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The Corporate Accountant role has primary responsibility for ensuring the following business functions are executed to a high standard of quality.
 
Accounts
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Bank Reconciliations
Expense Reconciliations and reimbursements
Payroll & related obligations
Taxation
Journals
Compliance
Manage all direct and indirect taxes of the company (PAYGW, GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, Work-cover, International Tax)
Support external tax advisors in the preparation of annual financial statements and income tax return
Support external auditors in the completion of annual financial audit
Financial and Management Reporting
Preparation of profit and loss and other management reports for Monthly and Quarterly management meetings
End of Month and financial year close and reconciliations (balance sheet)
Preparation of cash flow forecast
Preparation of rolling quarterly forecasts
Creation and maintenance of models to track specific company performance indicators (Churn Rate, CLV, ARR, MRR, Profitability by Client/Product/Partner etc)
Systems & Process
Configuration and Management of IT Systems used by Accounts (currently Xero, Chargify, Avalara)
Identification and implementation of new systems/processes that will help with efficiency gains in Finance areas.
Definition and documentation of Internal Accounting Processes and Policies
EXPERIENCE
Experience working in a similar Corporate Accountant position or as a Financial Accountant
Qualified CA / CPA
Demonstrated capacity to utilise Xero Accounting Software
Knowledge of Chargify and Avalara - desirable
Strong computer skills with advanced Excel
Have solid written and verbal communication skills
Possess a strong sense of responsibility, initiative and attention to detail
Operate with a high degree of autonomy in line with policies and procedures
Ability to manage competing priorities
