Functional Description
Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Expense Reviews, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, balance sheet and income statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects/cost centers. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May prepare state and local reports and tax returns. May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use. May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS, U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely data and records for journal entries by compiling and analyzing cash, balance sheet & income statement account information.
Support monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information, thereby helping to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
Documents financial transactions by entering account information
Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options and adjusting entries
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports
Maintains historical records by filing documents Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Prepares monthly trend analysis reports & other internal and external reporting requirements
Provides timely accounting assistance to finance and other company personnel and respond to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with professional license (CPA, CMA, CIA etc)
At least 3 years of working experience in General Accounting, Finance, Audit, Taxation or equivalent Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to work well independently and part of a team
Have a strong work ethic and eye for detail
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic high-performance team environment
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
Ability to be flexible and adaptable
Effective communication and research skills
Ability to self-manage with little instruction
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Oracle EBS / Fusion, Quickbooks
Proficient in MS Excel
Experience and Education
Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience.
