Job Description:
Compiling information and workpapers for Preparation of year end financial statements for Partnerships, companies and trusts
Preparing and entering journal entries, data entry
Reconciling banks, Trade Debtors and Trade Creditors
Using Asset Registers and calculating depreciation
Preparing Hire Purchase Schedules
Preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
Review of payroll compliance - STP wages, superannuation and workcover
Dealing with ATO regarding payment plans, remissions, amendments, lodgement of compliance forms
Working closely with other staff but also autonomously as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
3 - 5 years of experience handling Australian Income Tax
Experience working in a Australian Public Accounting Firm with tax knowledge preferred
CA or CPA qualified or working towards the accreditation (to discuss with Drew on Wednesday)
Experience preparing financial statements, income tax returns and instalment/business activity statements for individuals, companies, trust and partnerships;
Strong excel skills
Strong problem solving and time management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proven written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management. Effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
A proficient knowledge of MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks and MYOB Accountants Office
