To join our team, we're looking for a full-time accountant. We require someone who can think quickly on their feet, analyze numbers, and ask the right questions.
Reconciling account balances and bank statements, keeping the general ledger, and planning month-end closure processes are all responsibilities and Examine financial data and forecasts.
A competent Accountant combines good analytical abilities with a deep understanding of accounting concepts.
You will be reporting directly to the company's CEO. This position is ideal for someone who is quick to pick up new technology.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable and receivable are verified, allocated, posted, and reconciled.
- Produce error-free accounting reports and provide them with their findings.
- Analyze financial data and provide a summary of the financial situation.
- Identify flaws and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and spending.
- Provide technical assistance and advice on management accountants.
- Examine accounting systems and practices and make recommendations for changes.
- Prepare financial statements and a budget in a timely manner.
- Prepare tax returns and audits.
- Prepare for the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Knowledgeable of Government processes and requirements.
- Well Versed with payroll procedure.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Awareness of business trends
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant
- Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) is an advantage but not required.
