A. Taxation
1. Local tax invoice handling
2. VAT account posting & reconciliation
3. Withholding tax filing, posting & reconciliation
4. Supporting the TWDC tax team (e.g. inform / execute / interpret changes in the local regulatory environment)
B. Local Audit on - site support
1. Preparing financial statements and related supporting schedules for statutory audits
2. Working with external audit team and TWDC statutory and tax teams to ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements
3. Supporting TWDC tax team on tax audits, if any
4. Supporting TWDC teams on government audit for incentive application etc.
C. Local support for Legal and Treasury teams
1. Supporting the legal / treasury teams for Corporate law compliance requirements (e.g. Board Meetings, Resolutions for various purposes etc.)
D. Local contact for Regulatory Authorities
1. Be a physical presence in the local market and connect with required local authorities if necessary
2. Go to tax office/communicate with local tax officer for physical filing and window inquiry
3. Go to bank for physical cheque, bank statements, confirmation, over the counter inquiry and certificates
4. Go to statistics offices to submit government survey, etc.
E. Business Partnering / Business Insights
1. Be an in-market point of contact for Global process owners like Credit & Collection, T&E (Corporate card)
2. Interface with business / finance teams as a:
a. Controllership point of contact between the local business and the centralized organization in Mumbai and Shanghai
b. Enable workflows, especially related to revenue between sales / operations / finance and the centralized organization in Mumbai and Shanghai
c. Responsible and owner of physical storage and retrieval of documents as required under law
F. Ad hoc
1. Ad hoc accounting tasks as may be assigned by the Controller
