MAIN TASKS The Field Closing Accountant works with a team under the Finance Shared Services, that primarily
Responsible for meeting the defined service levels and key measurement targets of the team
Participate in the monthly and annual closing activities
Performs various controls and accounting related procedures, such as data upload, quality checks & control
Manage external and internal correspondence
Participates in the business process design, analysis and updates of workflows/tasks
REQUIRED PROFILE
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Have at least two (2) years working experience in general accounting
Good understanding of financial and analytical accounting
Experience with JD Edwards / Peoplesoft is an asset
Experience with Process Design and Analysis
Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) is an asset
Technically proficient in using Microsoft Office softwares - e.g. Excel, Word
Good command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of the French language is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
