Position Summary:
As the Accountant, you will be supporting the finance team in all general accounting activities and provide financial support for the activities of Jet Aviation Asia Pacific Pte Ltd Philippines Branch.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly accruals and amortization of prepayments
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation file
Ensure completeness and timely filling of all invoices and supporting documents for future reference and external and statutory audit.
Record allowance for doubtful accounts
Maintaining the Lease Controller system for new/expired leases and amendments and posting journals
Revalue all FX positions at month end and preparing the FX analysis
Review of Customer Database in Navision including creation and review of supporting documents like customer information sheet, and other government documents as necessary.
Perform compliance checks on new and existing vendors and customers
Review of expense reports and recording and handling of gift logs - local compliance officer.
Preparation, filing & payment of monthly compensation withholding taxes
Preparation, filing & payment of expanded withholding taxes
Preparation, filing & payment of annual compensation and quarterly fringe benefit tax
Preparation, filing & payment quarterly VAT returns
Preparation and filing of quarterly purchases and importation reports
Preparation, filing & payment of annual registration fees
Preparation and filing of quarterly sales report and annual list of creditable withholding tax report to Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
Application of tax clearance and comply with different Tax authority requirements
Participate in the development and execution of general controls and SOX controls
Performing variance analysis against prior months, prior years, budget and forecasts as required
Assist with other ad hoc duties as required
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business or equivalent
At least 2-3 years of work experience in a Big 4 accounting firm
Good knowledge of accounting processes and procedures in Finance
Ability to informally instruct, train, and share financial knowledge
Strong communication skills and service-orientation
Strong English language skills (spoken and written)
SOX and USGAAP experience preferred
