The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal partners, Account Manager delivers exceptional service and a valuable solution. The position will manage a defined book of business aligned by customer segment within a geography and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals. You will also open up larger solution opportunities and introduce Solution and Proposition Sales.Role Responsibilities:Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision maker's strategies, priorities and needsMaintain solid understanding of business propositions to initiate conversations and raise interestBuild and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within their accountsDrive growth by expanding company footprint within their accountsCoordinate activities amongst other SAM stakeholders, including Sales Specialists and CSM's, to drive the revenue growth of the book of businessFocus on maintaining overall customer engagement and expanding and retaining managed net revenueOversee all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end to end customer relationshipDrive efficiency in account administration (especially for lower value and growth potential accounts)Govern internal and external stakeholders and maintain networks to negotiate and close dealsAccountable and responsible for simple order takingEmerging & Growth Model:Account Manager for Growth accounts will manage a defined book on a proactive basisAccount Manager for Emerging may handle a book of accounts on a proactive basis (the focus might be more on retention compared to Growth AMs, but there will still be expectation of sales in the emerging p/f).All Account Managers in Emerging and Growth are responsible for revenue retention (primarily), sales, and administration of their accountsQualifications and Experience Required:Strong understanding of customers and their business model and workflowsIndustry experience within the customer segmentStrong product knowledgeRelationship building skillsSelling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)Strong negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiencyProblem solving ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needsPresentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organizationAbility to collaborate with account teamUniversity/college degree may be required, equivalent experience may be considered depending on position/departmentAdvanced degree may be preferredSignificant work experience in applicable industry and knowledge of customer workflow requiredShown competencies in account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer facing environment requiredCustomer relationship management required throughout all levels within an organizationJoin us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
