Executive recruitment firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is hiring a General Accountant for an award-winning digital platform that distributes digital versions of newspapers and magazines.
Job Summary:
The General Accountant will work closely with key stakeholders to identify and manage various accounting tasks. This role is based in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines, and offers a Monday through Friday morning shift, with a HyFlex work arrangement of three days onsite and two days working from home.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Develop and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required.
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be flexible in working on various projects and deliverables.
Demonstrate a commitment to achieving continuous improvement and total quality in the performance of all assigned duties.
Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations across accounting functions.
Manage accounting tasks outsourced by the parent company.
Compile monthly revenue schedules from different business segments.
Perform revenue reconciliation and general ledger to sub-ledger reconciliation.
Manage ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested by the Executive and Finance Leadership team.
Coordinate with the Internal Finance team and stakeholders through email correspondences and weekly meetings.
Perform other related tasks assigned by management.
Key Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or any equivalent certification.
At least four (4) years of work experience as a general accountant/cost accountant with BPO/Shared Service experience.
Familiarity with all facets of the accounting process and basic accounting principles.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface with foreign stakeholders.
Background in QuickBooks or other ERP systems is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Excel - Macros.
A high degree of accuracy and data entry skills with the ability to deliver work on time and within the deadline.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Salary: PHP 30,000.00 - PHP 35,000.00
