Responsibilities
OVERVIEW:
Sketchup is a marketing tool which generates nice 3D layouts and videos for customer presentations. It is not a design tool like AutoCAD, but offers opportunity to review solution would fit in the chosen warehouse layout. Therefore this resource is responsible to create a 3D model in Sketchup. On long-term perspective also build-up an object database and workflow excellence within the software Sketchup to ensure faster execution and (!) consistent look-and-feel
Develop a central repository, that contains all documents used for past customer tenders (RFQ) + Customer Case Studies + WH/Customer Factsheets. Used formats will be: Word, PDF, PPT, etc. The objective is to enable CL Business Developers, Product Developers and Solution Designers to access these documents when needed or when preparing customer business submission/presentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
SketchUp tasks:
Transition the provided 2D layout (AutoCAD, others) into Sketchup so that outer dimensions and ratios of building are fitting
Create functional areas within the warehouse (inbound areas, pallet racking, VAS, outbound staging, docks, offices)
Ensure dimensions and especially ratios are fitting (not: racking to narrow by 0,5m and then compensate that by making walkway 0,5m wider)
Group graphic objects smartly for easy last-minute editing, possibly by customer (SD)
Render the model (technical function in Sketchup based on add-ons)
Creation of fly-through animations based on alignment with customer
SketchUp deliverables:
3D model in Sketchup, readily rendered with fitting outer dimensions and ratios
Fully animated fly-through video
Ensure consistency in look-and-feel (DB Schenker logo, ...) with possible regional variation - strong alignment with HO team
Development of Object database for fast and consistent model build-up, Workflow excellence and documentation thereof
Possibly training of workflow excellence to selective SD counterparts in regional teams who might conduct last minute edits
Tender Database
Upload mechanism to be developed to ensure continuous upload of document from DB Schenker point of contact with Manilla
Escalation mechanism to be developed in case of non-compliance in either document upload or failure in retrieving documents.
Customer Case Studies templates to be developed from past stored customer case studies
Fact sheets summary and templates to be developed from past stored tenders
Create easy to use website portal to enable easy access to the requested file
User group definition with access hierarchy (In case of customer NDA clauses)
Orderly filing structure to enable easy search of stored documents using keywords
If what's been searched in not available a trigger mechanism to request research for needed information
A notification mechanism when uploads from point of contact have not be uploaded, in accordance with SLA.
Set of KPIs and reporting to monitor SLA fulfilment or non-fulfilment from outsourcing party and service provider

Qualifications
Studied Industrial or Logistic Engineering
Basic knowledge of Warehouse layout and warehouse processes
Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software
2-3 minimum experience in using Sketch up or any other relevant 3D rendering tool (optional)
Ability to learn fast on how to use Sketch via training given
Exceptional creativity and innovation
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial
environment
Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
Highly structured and organized
Ability to conduct market and competitor research
