Description
1. Registers patients by confirming patient's identification; reviewing consultation request; checking for special instruction; consulting with physicians.
2. Explaining equipment and testing procedures.
3. Prepares/Assist patients for their examination.
4. Prepares equipment for procedure.
5. Maintains records of test by keying test data and patient information into computer of ultrasound equipment.
6. Performs 2D Echo-cardiograph procedures with OPD and In-patients.
7. Monitors quality of ultrasonic pattern
8. Monitors patients' comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responsibilities.
9. Assist Pediatric Cardiologist in performing Pediatric Echo Doppler studies of patient aged 0-18y/o.
10. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; complying requirements.
11. Prepares all the necessary equipment to be used for the procedures.
12. Assists the patient's needs before, during and after the procedure
13. Prepares and positions patients for testing.
14. Attaches electrodes to the patients' chests, arms, and legs, connect electrodes to lead from the electrocardiogram (EKG) machine, and operate the EKG machine to obtain a reading.
15. Monitors patients' blood pressure and heart rate using electrocardiogram (EKG) equipment during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to notify the physician if something appears wrong.
16. Performs more advanced types of cardiac test like Holter monitoring which involves a twenty-four to forty-eight-hour surveillance of a patient going about a normal daily routine.
17. Administers the treadmill stress test.
18. Obtains and records patient identification, medical history or test results.
19. Checks, test, and maintains cardiology equipment, making minor repairs when necessary, to ensure proper operation.
20. Schedules patients for department procedures.
21. Performs other functions that may be delegated by the supervisor from time to time.
22. Entertains queries regarding procedures and other matters pertinent to Department procedures and policies.
23. Attends staff meeting and other hospital activities; participates actively on implementation of departments project and program.
