ZOOKEEPER
 
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Biology with specialization in Animal Biology, Zoology, or any related field of science courses.
Working Experience in animal care, zoo work, wildlife facilities, or internships is an advantage, but not necessary.
Strong interest in wildlife conservation and animal welfare
Basic knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is an advantage
Willing to be trained
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Feeding the animals in accordance to the right amount and presentation.
Cleaning and maintaining the holding facility, exercise yard and exhibit area.
Monitoring of animals to discern any possible injuries or illnesses.
Providing enrichment.
Record keeping (Logbook and checklists)
Coordinating and proper escalation to the supervisor and/or resident Veterinarian in cases of illness or injuries.
Assisting in restraining/transferring of the animals.
Assisting in medical procedures if needed by the resident Veterinarian.
Training the animals to make handling/treating them easier.
Teaching the guests on how to behave responsibly toward the exhibited animals.
