Investing in Women (IW) is a multi-country Australian Government initiative in Southeast Asia that seeks to improve women's economic participation as employees and as entrepreneurs and influence the enabling environment to promote Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE). It commenced in April 2016 with operations in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar and is due to run through to June 2023. It is managed out of the Gender Equality Branch (GEB) of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in Canberra. The Program is supporting the following outcomes:

Intentional impact investments in women's small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) increase
Positive shifts in gender norms related to workplace gender equality

Job Description
To support IW's work on WGE, IW is seeking to establish an Advisory Panel of experts with relevant expertise and experience to inform and advise the implementation and monitoring/evaluation of this work from July 2021 for 24 months.
We are looking for multiple experts including, researchers and practitioners, with expertise across a range of areas, relevant to workplace gender equality, particularly in South East Asia, in the following areas: * Gender pay equity
Employee Retention
Gender composition of the workforce
Representation of women and men at all levels in the workplace
Job segregation in the workplace
Recruitment, selection and promotion
Talent management and succession planning
Flexible working
Preventing gender-based harassment, sexual harassment and bullying
Professional development, networking, mentoring, sponsorship
Organizational Culture
Childcare solutions for employees
Qualifications
Key Requirements
Substantive experience and skills in one or more of the above areas of workplace gender equality/diversity and inclusion, and experience in one or more of the areas listed below:
Experience of development and deployment of WGE services, and knowledge of market issues associated with commercial adoption and application of the tools locally in SE Asia.
An HR background with experience in organisational change around diversity and inclusion in the private sector, in SE Asia, with experience particularly from the following sectors: professional services, banking, manufacturing and retail sectors.
Knowledge of approaches and best practices for promoting workplace gender equality and equity. Particularly individuals who have managed the development and roll out of company policies.
Experience conducting and analysing workplace gender equality assessments, or employee consultations for data-driven decision making by companies utilizing their data assets and translating insights from that into long term impact
Expertise in tailored trainings for introducing company policies or initiatives.
Expertise in tailored corporate communications particularly focused on organisational changes.
A public policy analyst or decision maker with expertise in gender equality
Expertise in monitoring and evaluation or action research in relevant areas, including experience in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, and presentation of findings to multiple audiences
Learning and development - Experience in developing and delivering training in any of the identified priority areas
Experience in South East Asia, particularly working with companies in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Myanmar, is preferred. Experts based in these countries are encouraged to apply.
As part of the application process, candidates should identify their areas of expertise (at least one area) and provide a description of their skills and experience from the list below:
WGE Consultancy experience - Experience of development and deployment of WGE services, and knowledge of market issues associated with commercial adoption and application of the tools locally in SE Asia
HR and Organisational Development Experience - An HR back ground with experience in organisational change around diversity and inclusion in the private sector in SE Asia with experience particularly from the following sectors: professional services, banking, manufacturing and retail sectors

Public Policy - Public policy analyst or decision maker with expertise in gender equality.
Sustainability Reporting - Knowledge of sustainability reporting criteria and/or experience in providing support to private sector companies on reporting
Monitoring and Evaluation - Expertise in monitoring and evaluation or action research in relevant areas, including experience in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, and presentation of findings to multiple audiences
Learning and development - Experience in developing and delivering training in any of the identified priority areas. Expertise in tailored trainings for introducing company policies or initiatives.
South East Asia Experience - Experience of working in South East Asia, particularly with companies from the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Myanmar, is strongly preferred
