Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The Workday Time & Attendance Team Leader is responsible for the overall administration of Absence and Time Tracking enterprise-wide design framework, implementation of updates brought about by bi-annual releases and changes required by the users in the Workday system.
This also includes maintaining standards, impact assessment and solution recommendation. This person serves as Subject Matter Expertise on Workday Absence & Workday Time Tracking and will provide support to any related modules and downstream systems. This person provides team leadership to a small team of Workday Absence and Time Tracking experts.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Setting up, configuring, and maintaining all objects related to Absence and Time Tracking
Establishing and maintaining tenant wide standards on managing objects related to Absence and Time Tracking
Works with the Absence and Time Tracking Administrators & downstream teams to define & implement required changes in Workday
Ensures accuracy of Absence & Time Tracking setup to sustain integrity of Workday as single-source of truth system and support sustenance of data flow to other linked platforms, especially payroll
Captures, reviews & act upon, including testing & assessing impact of bi-annual Workday releases related to Absence & Time Tracking
Liaises with Global Process Owners on change impact
Provides team leadership to Absence and Time Tracking Administrators in both day-to-day work plans and personal career goals/development. Including recognizing opportunities to build teams knowledge, skills and business understanding
Sets key performance indicators of the team and ensures that key responsibility areas are managed efficiently and excellently
Actively works and supports resolution of issues escalated managing incidents, tracking ticket status and partnering with support teams to resolve
Identifies and recommends processes areas that could be simplified, improved or changed to enhance user experience and drive simplification
Champions in Workday Community for Absence- and Time Tracking-related topics
Provides support in maintaining training activities and materials, including user guides, FAQ, recorded demos, portal content, etc
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
5 years Workday implementation/administration/support experience required:
Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking Pro preferred
Strong functional and expert knowledge on Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking
Experience of other Human Resources Management Systems, preferably Cloud-based
Knowledge of HCM design, structure, functions and processes
Ability to fully comprehend holistic view of global systems structure and HR processes in order to make solid, independent decisions with confidence
Experience of team leadership role preferably in working in a global and cross-cultural environment
Bring functional and technical knowledge to proactively troubleshoot issues, and conduct knowledge transfer with end users
Passion for delivering service excellence and developing a culture of easy to do business with, where customer's needs are anticipated
Highly analytical mindset with strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, problem solve and resolve system issues. Passion for simplification and continuous improvement
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with team members to understand and develop technology solutions for business needs
Organized, strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet established deadlines
Excellent communication, active listening and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
Team-player who is a proactive self-starter, with the ability to work independently
Ability to work, deliver and contribute in a matrix global team
Strong ethical standards regarding the handling of confidential personal information
Ability to work quickly and accurately, especially under pressure and within a cross-culture and global environment
Advanced proficiency in basic MS Office Suite tools
