The WordPress Developer role will be a vital member of the internal SEO / Content Team and will be responsible for developing and managing WordPress websites with both frontend and backend development technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate and collaborate with a diverse team, including SEO's, content managers, editors, and other writers
Work alongside the SEO Manager and Junior SEO Specialist to create an optimized and responsive website
Design and develop website architecture and build new features and functionalities
Build,implement and customize working themes and plugins
Monitor and analyze website performance and provide diagnostic reports
Handle backend tasks including database and server integrations
Build and implement new wordpress themese and plugins
Formulate a responsive and error-free website design
Tackle problems related to website debugging
Maintain CMS technicalities for optimum website performance
Requirements
Required Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience working as a WordPress Developer
Knowledge of frontend development technologies including but not limited to JavaScript, HTML, PHP, jQuery, CSS, and SQL
In-depth understanding of PHP backend development
Experience in testing and debugging tools
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
Must have knowledge of using APIs
Must at least have 2 references that can vouch for developed WordPress websites
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Masters's Degree in IT or computer science or any related field
Basic knowledge of code versioning tools
Ability to turn layouts and wireframes into optimized HTML pages
Experience in designing and developing responsive websites and web applications
Ability to understand CSS changes to ensure consistency across browsers and platforms
