What you will be doing:
The applicant will be responsible for managing Windows Server/Virtual Infrastructure changes.
Position responsibilities include all aspects of Server/Infrastructure management and support in a dynamic production environment tracking to customer service level agreements.
Key areas should be change Management /Process knowledge.
Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system.
Monitors usage and performance.
Trains personnel on system usage.
Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products.
Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment.
Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.
Change Management-specific responsibilities include:
Deemed the Owner of the Change Request from creation to closure
Generates and submits the change to start the process.
Enters the business needs, goals and objectives of the change and ensures they are accurate.
Ensures the risk factors have been assessed and verifies the validity of the initial priority setting.
Provides all necessary supporting documentation for the change (i.e. install, test, and remediation plans).
Provides CAB representation when necessary.
Authorizing the Change Request (CR)
Authorizing Change Process Models/Templates
Final confirmation point for Emergency Change type
Convening & chairing Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings
Managing the day-to-day activities of the process
Gathering and reporting on process metrics
Tracking compliance to the process
Escalating any issues with the process
Acting as chairperson for process meetings.
What you will be doing:
ITIL Certified
Must have 6 - 9 years' experience in working with Windows Infrastructure
Extensive experience in a 7x24 high availability environment
Knowledge on Windows 2003/2008 and 2012 Server.
Knowledge in Storage
Knowledge of Windows Virtualization (VMWARE)
Engineer familiar/aware of ITIL procedures (CM/PM Procedures).
Problem/request Management (Internal/External) Clients.
Incident Response, Change Management
Continuous improvement focus to continually review clients' Infrastructure with a standing goal of improving upon existing operations.
Possess a technical background with an ability to effectively interface with cross-functional teams (server administrators, storage administrators, client application developers, etc).
Excellent oral and written communication skills - must be comfortable communicating with customers, management as well as technical peers.
A customer service attitude is essential.
Team player attitude is critical.
Excellent functional understanding and familiarity with database monitoring and capacity management tools.
Possess a good functional understanding of MS Windows Server
Should have ticketing tool Knowledge i.e Service Now / Remedy etc
Should have good hands Experience on MS Excel.
