JOB DESCRIPTION FOR WEB DEVELOPER
Our client is a data research and IT software development company. They were established by a US-based Hedge Fund and have been experiencing rapid growth despite the ongoing pandemic and financial market woes. As they in the industry would put it, they thrive in volatility.
Our client engages their sponsors in the fields of Financial Quantitative Research, Data Engineering, DevOps, Applications Development, Cyber Security, and High-Performance Computing. Web Developer responsibilities include writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices, creating website layout/user interface by using stander HTML/CSS practices, maintaining, expanding, and scaling websites.
As a Web Developer:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a similar discipline is strongly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of work experience in web development/programming or similar industry is strongly preferred.
Must have knowledge in REACT
Strong communication and written skills.
Strong programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.
Extensive understanding of web design and development principles.
In-depth knowledge of software prototyping and UX design tools.
Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, object-oriented programming, and web application development.
Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools.
Basic knowledge of Search Engine optimization process.
Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
Budgets with business insight.
Hands-on experience with content management systems.
Strong conceptual thinking, resourceful, diligent, and has keen attention to details.
Your Responsibilities as a Web Developer are:
Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
Create website layout/user interface by using stander HTML/CSS practices.
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
Create and maintain software documentation.
Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling website.
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
Cooperate with web designers to match visual, design intent.
Assist the web development team with all aspects of website and application design.
Assist with the testing and maintenance of backend and front-end applications.
Brainstorm new tech applications such as digital storage and mobile technology.
Collaborate with developers to implement new web features.
• Be up to date with the latest technology and programming trends.
