Web Developer Lead
Job Description Summary:The main objective of the Software Developer role is to be responsible for enhancing, developing, installing, testing, and modifying enterprise software systems. This role analyzes user requirements and implements them into software systems and troubleshoots issues and applies fixes to systems as they arise.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality
Establishing and guiding the website's architecture
Ensuring high-performance and availability
Managing all technical aspects of the CMS
Work closely with front-end developers and customers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, functional and intuitive implementation
Defining REST API, and/or Web Services
Support front-end UI team with the constructed API/Web Services
Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment
Provides technical expertise, troubleshoots, guides and supports during design, development, testing, production, and post-production
Understand the source system, capture and document business rules
Analyze and propose changes to maximize code reusability and maintaining business value
Provides expert technical knowledge and solutions pertaining to Data integration.
Identify opportunities to optimize the front end environment, implement monitoring, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Ensure compliance to internal standards and guidelines including security.
Conduct unit testing and component integration testing for solutions developed
Work Experience Summary:
Web Technologies Experience: Proficient in Drupal, Magento, Angular, and NodeJS, with ability to architect enterprise solutions encompassing data, display, and information architecture.
Drupal Expertise: Extensive site-building and customization proficiency including expertise in modules such as CTools, Views, Panels, and custom module creation.
Responsive Web Development: Skilled in building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery. Knowledgeable about PHP, Drupal theme layer, and PHP files.
Development Lifecycle and Agile Exposure: Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and exposure to Agile methodologies.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Holds a Bachelor's degree in an information technology field, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Front-End and API Skills: Strong technical skills in front-end design and development, and familiarity with API concepts, design, and development.
Integration Solutions Experience: Over 5 years of experience in developing medium to large complex Integration solutions using Drupal, and over 3 years using standard web technologies such as HTML5, PHP, Angular, React, etc.
SDLC Knowledge: Basic technical experience and understanding of various SDLC methodologies including waterfall, iterative, and Agile.
Communication and Documentation: Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of clearly documenting data requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Database and Server Management: Competent in both SQL and NoSQL database design and management. Experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Groovy, Docker, and Maven for server management and deployment.
Coding and Testing: Proficient in implementing testing platforms, unit tests, and version control using Git. Advocates for clean, well-documented, and PHP coding standards-compliant code.
CI/CD and Test-Driven Development: Experienced in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and adept in UnitTest/Test-Driven Development.
CSS and Front-End Tools: Ideally familiar with CSS preprocessors, bundlers, and associated languages/syntaxes/libraries.
Must Have's:
Front-End Expertise: Proficiency in Angular or equivalent front-end framework. Strong grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ability to translate design concepts into interactive user interfaces.
Back-End Proficiency: Proficiency in NodeJS or equivalent back-end technology. Experience in building APIs and handling server-side logic. Familiarity with databases and data management.
CMS Familiarity: Experience with Drupal or similar content management systems. Ability to customize and extend CMS functionality to meet project requirements.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Cloud Engineering Exposure: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, GCP, etc. Understanding of cloud deployment and scalability concepts.
E-commerce Proficiency: Proficiency in Magento or other e-commerce platforms. Experience in building and customizing e-commerce functionalities.
