Position Summary:
The Web Content Author is responsible for publishing content for website pages using CMS tools (ex. Sitecore) and other web development products with direction from the Digital Customer Experience Manager. Responsible for translating content requests from business teams to Regal websites with attention to SEO best practices with support from web designers.
Major Responsibilities:
Publishing content by creating and editing website pages using Sitecore CMS (and other CMS tools) and basic HTML and CSS.
Work closely with Digital Customer Experience Manager on search engine optimization (SEO) of existing and new web pages.
Create, edit, and update images for website using Adobe Suite.
Be an advocate for best practices in user experience, web design, SEO, and website management.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years in user experience, information technology, or business-related field.
One or more years of web content publishing experience using a CMS tool.
Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS.
Sitecore or similar web CMS experience.
Familiarity with user research, wireframes, comps and website functional specifications.
Experience structuring website content origination and authoring processes.
Ability to take direction and execute independently or as part of a team.
Experience with photo editing tools for digital properties and campaigns.
Ability to read, write and speak English with moderate fluency
Qualifications
Additional Qualifications:
Experience creating websites with Sitecore CMS. (very important)
Experience with SEO.
Web development skills, including HTML, CSS, Java, Bootstrap, Adobe Creative Cloud & MSOffice.
Confident, self-starter, actively engaging and collaborative with others in global teams.
Experience collaboration with global teams on a regular basis.
- Think of someone updating the website, not really a graphic designer
- Make updates to the website, and be proactive about it
- 1-2 yrs exp.
