Arowana is looking for an analytical and organised Data Governance Analyst to work in our operating company, VivoPower. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and collecting new and incumbent data, analysing gaps and utilisation, verifying and managing essential information and handling administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will collaborate with operations and business teams in the organisation to implement new processes for the provision of data, develop business requirements and complete process mapping of a current or future state processes.
This position is a full-time, Manila-based position and will require availability for at least part of the Australia - US - UK workday.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Collecting data for analysis to interpret patterns or trends in data sets
Checking the quality of data across all systems by tracking data quality issues and identifying inconsistencies in the data or results to boost the consistency, reliability and the value of the company's data;
Guaranteeing characteristics (including but not limited to accuracy, validity, reliability, timeliness, relevance and completeness) are being met by the data;
Handling the transfer of data and regularly mapping data from one system to another;
Implementing strategies to optimize data integrity and improve processes;
Developing and maintaining data classifications;
Understanding all internal and external data flows and their applicability;
Implementing strategies to optimize data integrity and process improvements
Applying action plans to remediate the gap found in the data or results and formulate recommendations;
Enacting policies and procedures to compile and keep data securely and efficiently;
Creating and keeping current data inventories, data flows and documentation within data governance technologies;
Providing technical support and advising on data quality policies, standards, and guidelines to the team.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science or any related course;
With minimum 3-4 years of working experience as a Data Analyst;
Good technical knowledge and proven experience in data management, data quality, data governance, data catalogues, and data privacy solutions;
Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization;
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, charting);
SQL, Python, or other programming skills a plus;
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies;
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, quantify, and effectively raise business risks associated with data quality or non-compliance.
